Looking to paint the motor in my ’54 Monterey. What color are the valve covers supposed to be? Is there a paint code? Are the raised letters painted a different color?
The “Mercury” in my rear bumper is in need of a refresh. How difficult is it to paint on chrome? What procedure should I use? What paint?

I’m not sure on the paint color for your valve covers. I would suggest calling one of our members who own that year. You can look up members by the year of the car they own
by using the “Access the Member Directory” tab after you have signed in. There is a decal you can get for the “Mercury” lettering on your rear bumper. Check with C&G Early Ford parts, Concours parts, or Dennis Carpenter.
