Gene & Terri HindersParticipantLooking for a fan shroud for the 65 Parklane 390 AT w/ac and in looking up the # on the old micro-fische machine it shows to be a C5MY-8146-A and then for the 66 it’s a C6MY #…the Fullsize Fords they use a C5AZ-8146-B for the one-piece versions and then if one looks at the aftermarket ones available it shows to fit 65-67 or 65-68 (I can’t recall right now)….has anyone here had any experience with replacing shrouds and knows what will or won’t work??
Thanks in advance!!!!

Wayne & Judy MillerParticipantI live near a Ford & Mercury & Lincoln junkyard that I need to visit soon , I can keep my eyes open for one . Not sure the AC makes a difference . I can check my manual and my own 65 Parklane and make sure it is correct . Give me a week or two and I will get their . How much were you willing to spend and where does it need to go to. mrmerc1965

Gene & Terri HindersParticipantSounds like you live near heaven 🙂
I’ve found some aftermarket ones for around the 100.00 mark and a ’66 used one for the same….the aftermarket ones make me nervous on the way they look in the pics. Was hoping a used one would be less but let me know what you find. There’s a few other parts we’re needing if you find a 65 with some good pieces still attached!!
Do you have some pics of your 65? Ours can be seen on our FaceBook page The RoadHouse
The Mrs picked it up for me as a birthday present and the running joke is I don’t know if she loves me or hates me. We ran out to CA to get a good frame (we’re in Iowa by the way…where are you?) and we just got the front clip/interior/engine&trans all taken off in preperation for the lifting of the body and the frame swap. This is all new territory for me! We’ve drag raced a 79 Fairmont for years and the fox-body and sbf stuff is second nature…the mid 60’s and fullsize stuff is all new.
Thanks for the info/help/advice!!

Gene & Terri HindersParticipantWayne,
I may have found a shroud…but keep your eyes open just in case! I’m also needing some other pieces yet so if you do find one in the yards let me know, or if you have some extra pieces you’re needing to clear out let me know too.
One other main piece we’re looking for is a LH power seat track for the bench seat…as well as some misc interior chrome and a couple of dash trim pieces.
Thanks again!!

Wayne & Judy MillerParticipantLet me know what exact pieces you need , I have quite a few spares . I should be able to get to the junkyard this week , so it would be good to know what to look for . I live in St. Paul, Mn and my wife is from Fort Dodge , Ia. I will send pics if you send your email to me at mrmerc1965@aol.com Thank You , Wayne
