It was damaged in delivery after initial repair, but they repaired it and I have not had a problem since (18 years).

I have a 1960 Mercury Monterey and I believe I had the color matched from the air cleaner from the bottom side. I then painted the air cleaner and head covers the same. This is my color code from Du Pont Centari Acrylic Enamel GS623A. I hope this helps. I do not know the answers to your other questions.
